It’s been nearly 15 years since the Howard University Bison and the Morehouse College Maroon Tigers battled it out on the field. This month, the two teams will head to the nation’s capital to renew their historical football rivalry that dates back to 1923. Bison and Maroon Tigers fans alike will descend on Washington for a packed weekend of events leading up to the AT&T Nation’s Football Classic™ at D.C.’s RFK Stadium. Off the turf, the weekend will be full of mind-stimulating events that will showcase the colleges’ academic rivalry, their philanthropic heritage and more. Here’s a quick look at what the Nation’s Football Classic weekend will have to offer.

Thursday, Sept. 8

Presidential Symposium: Beyond the Stereotypes - Academics, Athletics, Character and Black Male Achievement

A day of panel discussions that will showcase the beneficial role that communities and colleges play in broadening the opportunities for, and reaffirming positive images of, black men.

Friday, Sept. 9

UNCF Empower Me Tour / HBCU College Showcase and Recruitment Fair

An expo geared towards college-bound students and their parents that focuses on college preparation, career opportunities, health and wellness, philanthropy and more.

AT&T Kickoff Rally

A celebration full of music, food and fun to kick off the weekend’s festivities.

Location: Downtown D.C.

Time:  12 p.m. to 2 p.m.

"The Game Before The Game” – Howard University vs. Morehouse College Student Debate

HBCU Alumni Networking Reception- Co-Hosted by Howard University Alumni Association and the Morehouse College Alumni Association

AT&T Nation's Football Classic™ - Howard Univ. vs. Morehouse College
