R&B singer Ashanti had to sit in court and entertain the shenanigans of a man who has allegedly been stalking her for at least three long, long years, TMZ reports.

Devar Hurd is on trial a third time for stalking her (the first trial, in 2014, ended in a mistrial because a juror got sick, and he was convicted in the second on several counts, according to the New York Daily News, but the jury couldn't reach a verdict on the charge of stalking in the second degree). Hurd is representing himself and got the chance to ask Ashanti questions during her testimony.

The questions were lewd and, in Ashanti's words, "disgusting," since he recited the sexual text messages he'd sent her and asked her if she'd seen them.

"I saw the disgusting tweet and was insulted," Ashanti responded.

Hurd is arguing that he and Ashanti had a sexual relationship.

"I know how you are when it comes to our sex life," he said. "[It's] very emotional on both ends," Hurd said while Ashanti rolled her eyes.

"I wish you to stop," Ashanti said at one point during her testimony, according to the Daily News. "I just wish you to stop."
