Two days after Jordan Johnson’s girlfriend reported that he had been kidnapped, the body of the 24-year-old New Jersey man was discovered in the trunk of his car in New York City on Thursday, cops confirmed, according to the New York Post.
Johnson’s parked 2013 BMW was found around 2 p.m. in the Bronx. Authorities believe that his death could be related to an identity theft ring, the New York Daily News notes.
Johnson’s girlfriend, Megan Faulkner, said that she was supposed to meet him in Harlem on Tuesday, but he never showed up. When she got back to their luxury apartment in Fort Lee, N.J., the place had been ransacked and Johnson was gone. Jewelry and cash were also taken from the apartment, according to the report.
