The latest stop in The Root’s Young, Fabulous and Female series of events is Atlanta, and we’re pleased to announce that on-air personality and journalist Jacque Reid (Tom Joyner Morning Show, Let’s Talk About Pep) will be moderating the discussion!
Join The Root and Target for an evening of conversation and cocktails next Tuesday, Feb. 22, at the W Atlanta–Buckhead hotel. The theme for the evening is “The Beauty of Success,” and among the growing list of confirmed panelists are Black Girls Rock founder Beverly Bond, actress Terri Vaughn (Meet the Browns, The Steve Harvey Show) and Jones-magazine editor-in-chief Tracey Ferguson. It promises to be a great evening of networking and thought-provoking conversation focused on the career and life challenges that young black women face.
The particulars:
What are the secrets to developing both inner and outer beauty? What challenges do successful black women face as they shape their careers and images? How does one find a mentor or become one? What must we do to increase the ranks of the young, fabulous and female within our community? The Root (a black-news-and-opinion website owned by the Washington Post Co.) presents a moderated discussion of these questions, featuring some of our community’s young, fabulous and female achievers. They will answer these questions, as well as those posed by The Root’s audience.
