Successful and controversial music producer Irv Gotti has been going through some health troubles amid some concerning allegations against him.
On Wednesday, a spokesperson for Gotti told TMZ, “Irv has been struggling with diabetes for years, which caused him to have a minor stroke over six months ago. He has since changed his diet to eating more healthy. He’s been successful in making a full recovery. Irv is not in a rehab facility. He is at home with his family, enjoying life.”
The rumors of Gotti’s condition started with Wack100, who claimed during a Monday episode on his podcast, “The 100 Show,” that he spoke to someone at a stroke recovery center and even shared photos of the Murder Inc. founder walking with a cane.
Despite Gotti’s condition, hip-hop’s biggest troll, 50 Cent, made fun of him, posting an image of Gotti walking with a cane on Instagram and captioning it, “Damn homie, in high school you was the man homie, WTF happened to you? I want Irv to get well, so he can have to watch my next wave LOL.”
This health update also comes amid claims that he’s responsible for sexually assaulting a mystery victim.
In July, a woman, who is being identified as only Jane Doe, claimed that Gotti sexually abused her several times starting back in 2020 after they met at a poker event.
The lawsuit reads, “After flying her to Saint Martin, Gotti coerced plaintiff into having sex with him. Gotti specifically threatened the plaintiff that he would send her home if she did not comply with his demands. Accordingly, and due to his power and influence in the music world, she complied.”
According to the lawsuit, her abusive relationship with Gotti lasted for two years. The lawsuit adds, “During this abusive relationship, Gotti demanded that the plaintiff perform unwanted sexual acts and often berated and scolded her.”
Some have questioned if this minor stroke Gotti is dealing with affects the legal trouble he’s entangled in.
