All the Times Obama Called Trump Out on His BS

We were waiting for someone to say it! During a speech at Vice President Harris’ rally in Pennsylvania, Obama made it clear that Trump’s “great economy” that he takes credit for was really just the economy he inherited from Obama.

During the Democratic National Convention in Chicago, Obama mocked what he called Trump’s “weird obsession with crowd sizes.”

In 2020, the world was rocked by the COVID-19 pandemic. As we all remember, former President Donald Trump didn’t take the virus seriously, and Obama wasted no time bashing him because of it. During a rally for the Biden-Harris campaign, Obama even said Trump was “jealous of COVID’s media coverage.”

The former president was more than critical of Trump’s handling of COVID-19. In 2020, Obama let Trump have it any chance he got!

The former Democratic president made sure to fact check Trump’s claims that Biden withheld hurricane aid to Republican areas.

When CBS News’ Gayle King asked Obama if his attacks on Trump were rooted in a personal vengeance, the former president simply responded saying “the truth is I was just stating facts.”

Obama spoke at the 2020 Democratic National Convention and flat out said Trump will “tear our democracy down if that what it takes to win.” He also took a few jabs at the GOP candidate saying he shows “no interest in putting in the work.”

“You think Donald Trump ever changed a diaper?” Obama asked the Pennsylvania crowd. Before he could even finish the punchline, crowd members beat him to it saying “his own!” Obama laughed then responded with “I almost said that, but I decided I shouldn’t say it.”

During a speech at Rutgers University, Obama told the audience “you might wonder where the strain of anti-intellectualism came from.”

At the 2016 Democratic National Convention, Obama backed former Secretary of State Hilary Clinton for president while telling Americans the country is already great and that “our greatness does not depend on Donald Trump.”

Remember when Trump questioned Obama’s citizenship? Well, at the 2011 annual White House Correspondents’ Dinner, Obama cracked a few jokes about Trump’s ridiculous and racist comments. It’s been rumored that this interaction is exactly what set Trump on his campaign for presidency.

In 2016, Kimmel asked Obama if he wished he was running against Trump. Just listen to his response.

“We do not need four more years of bluster, and bumbling, and chaos. We have seen that movie before, and we all know that the sequel is usually worse,” said Obama during his 2024 DNC speech.

The former president urged Black men who might be considering supporting Trump or not voting at all to rethink their decision because “that’s not acceptable.”

Obama made note of Trump’s “constant attempts to sell you stuff. Who does that?” he asked. But that wasn’t all. The former president also likened Trump to Fidel Castro.
