According to a press release by NAN, Sharpton will question the “right-wing motives” of bringing up the 17-year-old rape case as a means to “perpetuate an all-white Academy Awards while obscuring exclusion of blacks.”

The weekly rally is to be held at the National Action Network headquarters in New York City on Saturday. Media arrival is scheduled for 9:30 a.m.

The address will be broadcast on WLIB 1190 AM, or a live stream will be available at NAN’s website, according to the release.
