Air France Jet Disappears Over Atlantic
USA Today reports that all passengers are feared dead after the Air France jet hit a heavy turbulence and thunderstorms in its flight from Rio de Janeiro to Paris. The search area where the plane may have gone down is vast and "Brazil's military searched for the plane off its northeast coast, while the French military scoured the Atlantic off the West African coast near the Cape Verde Islands." The last contact with the flight was at 10PM EST on Sunday evening. While there is speculation that the plane may have been struck by lightning, meteorologists suspect that the tragedy may have began when the jet ran into a tropical storm, which have a tendency to be more violent than thunderstorms in the United States and elsewhere.
Stolen from Africa…Buffalo Soldier Receives Proper Burial
After nearly 100 years, BET reports that Cpl. Isaiah Mays, Buffalo Soldier and Medal of Honor winner has been buried at Arlington National Cemetery. Born a Virginia slave in 1858, Mays moved west and fought with the Buffalo Soldiers in the frontier Indian wars. He received the Medal of Honor in 1890 for bravery in the line of duty following a heist of gold coins that he was commissioned to guard. Being denied his army pension in 1893, Mays was committed to an Arizona state mental hospital until his death in 1925. He was buried in an unmarked grave until hospital staff discovered it and formally recognized his achievements in 2001.

Bossip reports that Pink was none too pleased with Kanye West at Stella McCartney's recent fashion show in Paris. Apparently, as he sat with Pink, Paul McCartney and the vice president of PETA, Kanye couldn't help but mention, several times, how he thought the show needed more fur. Fur, fur, fur. Well, Pink had this to say: “I was just so grossed out by him. I’m like, ‘You’re an idiot!’ “There are so many people who I think are a waste of skin and he’s up there. I should wear him. “Go on, donate yourself Kanye. People can wear your fur.”
