After Weeklong Manhunt, Murder Suspect Shot Dead

Michael Dale Vance Jr., 38, was shot and killed by an Oklahoma state trooper Sunday evening after allegedly shooting and wounding a Dewey County, Okla., officer earlier that day, Time magazine reports. Vance was wanted on multiple charges, including first-degree murder.

On Oct.  23, Vance reportedly shot and wounded two police officers, which prompted the manhunt.

According to Time, he was suspected of shooting a woman, stealing her vehicle and then driving to his relatives' mobile home in Luther, Okla., and killing them.

Authorities also report that they believe Vance recorded to Facebook Live videos documenting his run from the police.

The search for Vance ended about a half hour after he fled after allegedly shooting the Dewey County officer. He was shot dead about 130 miles from Oklahoma City near Leedey, Okla.
