Ray J has been talkative this year, speaking on a slew of celebrities including Nicki Minaj, Kim Kardashian, his sister, Brandy, and most notably, Sean “Diddy” Combs.
During a Monday appearance on NewsNation’s “Cuomo,” Ray J took the disgraced mogul’s side, questioning several of the allegations made against him, specifically the “freak offs.”
He said, “I think a lot of the stories are becoming out of control and super extreme. Again, you start one way and then as it builds, there are thousands of people coming in creating a new narrative. When you do your research or due diligence, a lot of it doesn’t come back real.”
He continued, “Is any of it real? Or how much of it is real? I think that’s where we are now because they just keep piling on. Now everybody is starting to feel weird about it and it’s starting to look like it’s one-sided against one man, and people aren’t liking it.”

When speaking about the freak-offs, Ray immediately shot them down, saying, “I think that there might have been times where people have partied with a certain team of people and there might have been a ‘freak off,’ right? But I can guarantee you, most of the celebrities that went to Diddy’s parties never even heard of a ‘freak off.’”
This is a far cry from Ray J’s attitude toward Diddy from earlier this year. During his appearance on Shannon Sharpe’s “Club Shay Shay” podcast in June, he disparaged the mogul’s actions against Cassie Ventura, saying, “Everybody messes up, but we can’t be cool after that. It’s unforgivable, it’s too much. Never being able to be around us and our world ’cause we don’t condone that is definitely a fact… that’s f***ing unacceptable. I’ve never ever seen nothing like that in my life.”
Not to mention, Ray J and three of Diddy’s sons got into an altercation while at a Halloween party in October.
According to TMZ, Christian Combs, Justin Combs, and Qunicy Brown were allegedly upset about some of the comments Ray J made about their father on his show, “The Reality Check News.”
The two factions allegedly got in each other’s faces and chest-bumped one another. No punches were thrown.
