As Adrian Peterson steps back onto the football field for training camp with the Minnesota Vikings, he’s going to have some new ink to show off.

Peterson, who played only one regular-season game in the last 20 months, showed off his new ink on Twitter over the weekend.

Peterson’s new tattoo is a testament to his religious beliefs. The tattoo is from Ephesians 6:10-19, which instructs Christians to “put on the full armor of God.” The tattoo is over his heart, with the letter “A” inside a shield. On Peterson’s left shoulder is a lion, which is above a sword and the Bible.

Peterson’s return to the field comes on the hills of a rocky year that included child-abuse allegations and a suspension.
