It seems there’s a battle of the “British baes” brewing between “Mufasa” star Aaron Pierre, veteran actor Idris Elba, and rapper Skepta. And the reaction on social media has been overwhelmingly hilarious.
For context, all the chatter began rumbling after Pierre’s “Spirit Tunnel” walk on “The Jennifer Hudson Show” went viral online earlier in this month. That video, along with the rest of his “Mufasa” press tour stops, launched countless thirst comments and tweets from folks online who couldn’t stop ogling at the U.K. actor’s gorgeous green eyes, face, and voice.
Fast forward to this past weekend when Paris Fashion Week kicked off, Pierre was spotted together with Elba and Skepta at two different events which basically caused the internet to virtually implode as folks couldn’t get enough of seeing all these fine men pairings back to back.
However, while some viewed the sightings as a pleasant smorgasbord of sexy men, others became conflicted and began pitting the two U.K. entertainers against each other over their equal (or unequal, let some folks tell it) attraction.

“AARON PIERRE DONT YOU EVER STAND NEXT TO SKEPTA AGAIN????? NOW I HAVE TO DEFEND YOU,” wrote one user on X/Twitter.
“Aaron Pierre is fine as hell but so is Skepta, can’t win em all!” said another.
“I don’t like how y’all are acting like aaron pierre is ugly now bc of one pic with bad lighting. skepta is handsome down too but let’s not act like aaron cannot hold is own next to him EASILY,” one other user said.
Added another, “Skepta has outmugged everybody who had the audacity to stand next to him. He made Aaron Pierre a Chrysler 300 and Idris a Hoopty.”
“People are pretending aaron pierre is ugly instead of just saying they think skepta is fine,” another commented.
After seeing enough of the comments, Skepta hopped into the chat on Sunday in an attempt to diffuse the situation, writing on X/Twitter:
“Seeing big men are arguing with girls about me because I took a pic with a man 12 years younger than me lol. I’m literally that man’s Uncle, you man need to chill and let the ladies tweet in peace jare.”
And you know what? He’s absolutely correct. What happened to good, old-fashioned fun? Let these women have their day; it really shouldn’t be that deep. What’s also important to remember is that there always room for more attractive people. There’s no need to compare, diversity is great! There’s something for everybody, so let these fine men exist in peace and just enjoy the view!
