It’s no secret that the ladies love Jalen Hurts. Even women who don’t pay close attention to the NFL know who the quarterback of the Philadelphia Eagles is. Naturally, that could leave some jealousy from some other guys who wish they received the same kind of attention.

On Monday, as Hurts was answering questions ahead of the Eagles Super Bowl matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs, he was asked by a curious reporter, “Jalen, how can I get more handsome? My girlfriend says you’re the most handsome QB in the league. Do you have any advice? I’m desperate. Anything.”

Unfortunately, the Eagles QB didn’t have any helpful suggestions, saying in response, “I don’t know if I can help you on that one… Sounds like a DNA thing.”

Sunday’s matchup between the Eagles and the Chiefs is a rematch of Super Bowl LVIIin 2023. It was the first time two Black QBs would play each other in the biggest game of the year.

At the time, Hurts said, “Obviously being part of something so historic and making history. You talk about breaking records and being the first to do this, but I think this is something on a whole different level. A whole different magnitude holds a different type of weight.”

Unfortunately for Hurts, he was on the wrong side of history as his Eagles lost a 38-35 thriller against Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs.

Although he lost, the game was historic, becoming the most-watched Super Bowl and U.S.-based telecast ever with 115.1 million viewers. (That record was broken a year later in the 2024 Super Bowl with the Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers).

In many ways, that first matchup represented how far Black QBs have come, and since then, the number of Black gunslingers in the NFL has only grown.
