Earning a bevy of recognition at more than 10 film festivals in 2011 alone, Constance Mark's Being Elmo: A Puppeteer's Journey is a captivating documentary that tears down the walls of one of children's television's most iconic characters, Elmo. Kevin Clash, the unsung mastermind behind the Elmo character, finally gets his time in the limelight.

Clash's journey toward Sesame Street and Jim Henson began as early as his 10th birthday, when Clash began building his own puppets. Clash would begin performing with puppets on stage by his teenage years.

Narrated by Whoopi Goldberg, Being Elmo highlights the essence of Elmo and the unique life of the character's imaginative puppeteer. Being Elmo is scheduled for release throughout November and the rest of the year in several cities coast to coast.
