Cierra Ortega isn’t anyone famous, but across the country, people are praying for her 5-year-old son, Ahmad. Ortega recently took Ahmad to a Philadelphia emergency room, only to be told that he had a brain tumor. Days later, the doctors diagnosed him with ependymoma, a tumor that arises from the ependyma, a tissue of the central nervous system.
Unlike most people who look to social media for donated funds via crowdfunding sites, Ortega doesn't have any interest in doing that. She has had one simple question, which she posted on Facebook, and it has since gone viral.
As with any parent who is dealing with a sick child, Ortega’s video is heartbreaking, but it has garnered her what she’s asked for. People have flocked not only to her personal Facebook page but also to the page she’s created for her son. The video has even found its way to World Star, which is a welcome break from the plethora of fight videos usually uploaded.
So if praying is your thing, say one tonight for Ahmad and his family. If it isn’t, there’s nothing wrong with positive thoughts.
