The real estate market can be unpredictable, just ask Michael Jordan. After 12 years and multiple price drops, his Chicago mansion has sold for $9.5 million. According to cllct, the property was originally listed in 2012 for $29 million, then dropped to $14.855 million in 2015. It features “an indoor basketball court, putting green, nine bedrooms, 19 bathrooms and a 14-car garage.” Along with the distinctive 23 on the front gate, these Jordan-esque, extravagant details may have contributed to the mansion’s long wait to be sold.
The basketball legend bought the seven acre land in 1991 and the house was built in 1995. Despite all it’s outstanding features, that’s considered old in the real estate world. No matter the reason, we’re sure the NBA Hall of Famer is happy to finally move on from the property.
