Beyoncé wanted 8-year-old New York burn survivor Safyre Terry to know that she was a flawless little girl, so the pop icon sent over a care package to Safyre suggesting as much.
Here's why: Safyre was badly burned in a 2013 apartment fire that claimed the lives of her father and two brothers and sisters, the Daily Mail reported. This holiday season, all Safyre wanted was Christmas cards, and her aunt posted the request on social media. More than a million people mailed cards to Terry, including pop superstar Beyoncé.
"To My Survivor Safyre! You are such an incredible inspiration. Have a beautiful holiday," Beyoncé's handwritten note read. The note came with a "Flawless" T-shirt and a headband.
Beyoncé joins the Obamas, Michael Bublé and even Katy Perry among the public figures who have sent Safyre cards.
