Since Bad Boy CEO Sean “Diddy” Combs got locked up on federal sex crime charges, every television platform has been competing to produce a documentary filled with the juiciest allegations against the rapper. Discovery’s “The Fall of Diddy” is the latest, and trust us...the claims transcend creepy sex parties and baby oil.
If you don’t feel like watching the entire docuseries (which premiered on January 27), allow us to pluck out seven shocking allegations mentioned about the rapper from various witnesses including former employees and alleged victims.
Howard University Domestic Incident
A former Howard University classmate of Combs claimed in the documentary that back in the 80s, they witnessed Combs screaming at someone outside their dorm to “get their ass downstairs.” The former student then said Combs removed his belt and released his rage by whipping the side of the building. Once a woman stepped outside, seemingly the one he shouted at, he then turned the belt on her, the former student said.
Vibe Editor Threatened
Danyel Smith, former editor of Billboard and Vibe Magazine, described her encounter with Combs back in 1997 when the two worked on a cover shoot. Combs was displeased with the decision to dress him in white feathered wings and asked Smith to see the final cover before it went out to publish.
When she declined his request due to time sensitivity, Smith said he threatened that he would see her “dead in a trunk” if she didn’t show him the images. Smith then hired an attorney who threatened Combs he’d contact the police if he didn’t fax over an apology. Combs sent the apology… but allegedly sent two goons days later to attempt an attack on Smith.
New Details on 1999 Club Shooting
Diddy’s former personal driver, Wardel Fenderson, said in the documentary that he saw Combs holding a handgun the night of the shooting at Club New York back in 1999. The incident left three people injured, one of them being Natania Reuben who was also featured in the documentary. However, from her perspective, she wasn’t just hit with a random stray bullet. She said she saw Combs pull the trigger of a gun in her direction, shooting her in the face.
“I was certain that I was going to be dead in that moment because I didn’t think a human could lose that much blood and still be alive,” she said in the documentary.
Weird R. Kelly Joke
Kat Pasion said she met with Combs in 2019 to comfort him after the passing of Kim Porter. Around the same time, Lifetime’s “Surviving R. Kelly” docuseries was on television. Pasion said as the show played on the TV, Combs came in and watched some of it with her before exiting the room and making a concerning remark.
“He’s walking out of the room and he says, ‘There’s a little R. Kelly in all of us.’ And he walks out the door. I remember being like, ‘What? There is not a little R. Kelly in all of us,’” the woman said.
“Freak Offs” Confirmed?
An ex-security guard for Combs, Roger Bonds, claimed in the documentary that Combs would book hotels for weekends at a time. Bonds also claimed he witnessed random men floating in and out of Combs quarters.
“I’ve seen questionable things, but I never knew exactly what was going on,” he said. “It’s been times where Cassie and Diddy would just go to the hotel for a weekend, and I would see guys get off the elevator.”
The claims seem to line up with the claims made in the lawsuit filed by singer Casandra “Cassie” Ventura who claimed Combs forced her to perform sexual acts with men for his pleasure.
Alleged Kim Porter Abuse
The former Vibe editor didn’t just speak on her own encounter with Combs but also had something to say about Combs’ interactions with late girlfriend, Kim Porter. Smith said he acted in “many awful and mean” ways toward the model, citing one incident where he really caused a scene.
“He just started hollering at her that she should be at home, not out,” Smith said. “Then he grabbed her handbag and literally turned it upside down. He just emptied it out in front of everybody.”
Deadly Basketball Game
Back in 1991, Combs held a celebrity basketball tournament in partnership with Heavy D. at City College of New York. As previously reported, when the event was full and doors closed, angry ticket holders got rowdy and stampeded their way into the gym. As a result, nine people died.
