While Porter was famously associated with ex-partner Diddy, with whom she had three children and closely co-parented, her death has spurred an outpouring of love and condolences from friends in mourning and a celebration of the lives she touched.

Celebrities have taken to social media to share their thoughts, including Drake, Nicki Minaj, Usher, Kevin Hart, Rihanna, Viola Davis, Nas, Russell Simmons, Bethann Hardison, Dream Hampton, Tarana Burke and Teyana Taylor.

Busta Rhymes described Porter as “truly a big sister,” while Keke Palmer said Porter “lived so close at one time that I would walk to your house in the afternoons and spend all day with you. Always leaving with a gift or something that you’d given me.”

It’s also heavily speculated that classic Jodeci song “Forever My Lady,” written by Al B. Sure!, was penned for Porter and referred to their eldest son, Quincy. Several close friends highlighted Porter’s kindness and deep love for her family:

A “beautiful soul,” a “kind heart,” “beautiful inside and out,” posts said.

Porter was widely, dearly loved.
