50 Cent Tweets Jokes About Japanese Tragedy

After this weekend's earthquake and subsequent tsunami in Japan, 2,000 bodies have been found on the Miyagi Coast, and up to 10,000 are feared dead. The nuclear power plants that provide energy for so much of the country continue to see explosions.

The Huffington Post reports that 50 Cent took to Twitter this weekend to laugh about the situation:

"Wave will hit 8am them crazy white boys gonna try to go surfing," he first tweeted on Friday morning. Later in the afternoon, he said, "Look this is very serious people I had to evacuate all my hoe's from LA, Hawaii and Japan. I had to do it. Lol."

A few minutes later, he must have come to his senses (or received enough criticism) as he wrote, "Nah this is nuts but what can anyone do about it. Let's pray for anyone who has lost someone."

That attrition didn't last long. "Man they made a movie about all this 2012 now you think that was a lucky guess," 50 tweeted a few hours later. And to defend himself, he said, "Some of my tweets are ignorant I do it for shock value. Hate it or love it. I'm cool either way 50cent."

When it comes to being stubbornly insensitive about massive human suffering (and not even close to funny enough to deserve the "LOL" 50 gave himself), we're going have to go with "hate it."
