As proof of President Biden’s agenda, he pulled out a copy of the New York Times front-page article about Biden’s pardon of his son Hunter.

“President Biden and President-elect Donald Trump now agree on one thing,” Adams read. “The Biden Justice Department has been politicized...I rest my case.” He also told the Wall Street Journal that people were “unhappy that [he] fought for this city.”

Herequested a meeting with Trump’s “Border Czar” Tom Homan to talk about deporting immigrants.

CBS News reported that Adams reached out to Tom Homan, the Trump administration’s new “border czar” to hear their plans pertaining to the deportation of illegal immigrants. He also said that Americans voted for Trump because of his border proposals. “We cannot ignore the fact that the American people have communicated to us loudly and clearly that we have a broken system and they want it fixed,” Adams said.

He implied that immigrants charged with crimes did not necessarily deserve the due process.

Per ABC 7 New York, during the conference, Adams insinuated that immigrants charged with crimes shouldn’t necessarily receive due process that he is receiving as a defendant in a criminal indictment. “If you come into this country and this city and think you are going to harm innocent New Yorkers, and innocent migrants and asylum seekers, this is not the mayor you want to be under,” Adams said.

“I’m an American. Americans have certain rights. The Constitution is for Americans. I’m not a person who snuck into this country.”

Adams denied seeking a presidential pardon from Trump.

Reporters asked Adams if he plans on playing nice to receive a pardon from the Trump administration. According to the New York Times, Adams stated that he supports Trump appointing Elon Musk as a leader in his Cabinet to tackle “government efficiency.” “I’m not agreeing with them because of any other reason than I agree with them,” Mr. Adams said, per the Times. “How about that?”

He claimed Biden abandoned New York City during their migrant crisis.

Per ABC 7 New York, Adams said on Tuesday that New York City has already spent over $6.4 billion to deal with more than 200,000 migrants bused from the southern border—and Biden offered no help. “They hurt the future of New York City and when people hear me say $6.4 billion...We didn’t invest in seniors the way we should have, and young people what we should have,” Adams stated.
