It’s no secret that Wendy Williams has been a hot topic for the last few years after her famous daytime talk show went off the air and reports about her failing health, divorce, and mental state began to spread. But now, she’s finally breaking her silence and speaking out about it all once and for all.

The beloved TV personality recently aired out her truth during an interview with Charlamagne tha God and DJ Envy on Thursday morning’s episode of “The Breakfast Club.” If you’ll remember, Charlamagne told listeners he’d finally spoken to her about a week ago and there was nothing about her mental state or behavior that seemed “permanently incapacitated,” contrary to previous detailings from Williams’ guardian Sabrina Morrissey. He also stated at the time that the eponymous host sounded so well, she could get back on radio sooner than later.

Now, that statement has come full circle as Williams and her niece Alex phoned in for an interview on the show and because we know you want to get to the good stuff quick, here are some of the main takeaways.

The Truth About Williams’ Mental State Is Finally Revealed

When speaking to the allegations lobbed by A&E in their countersuit against Williams’ guardian Sabrina Morrissey—in which they claim she’s abusing her power over her—Williams simply said that the system she’s under is broken and it’s falsified many things.

When asked by Charalamagne if she’s “cognitively impaired and “permanently incapacitated,” as previously told, Williams explained:

“Do I seem that way, goddamnit? How dare they. Who I naturally am is who I naturally am, you know what I’m saying? And my niece knows all about it.”

Alex added that Wendy is not an incapacitated person: “That’s why we say she’s in a luxury prison. She is being held and being punished for whatever reason people are coming up with as to why she has to kept in this position.”

As to be expected, Williams was also asked to share her thoughts on the current legal drama Sean “Diddy” Combs is currently embroiled in which includes his forthcoming federal sex trafficking and racketeering trial. Speaking to that, Williams put it plainly that this was the end of the road for Diddy and that he’s poised to be behind bars for a long time.

“Diddy will go to prison for life, people. You don’t know things that I do about Diddy back in the day and you want to know what? It’s about time, people. It is about time. Diddy done,” she said.

Wendy Williams Reacts to Controversial Documentary, Claims She’s Been Separated From Her Family for the Last Three Years

Another troubling moment was when Alex spoke on the conditions of the “luxury prison” she says her aunt is living in in New York City, describing the place as only having a bed, a TV, a chair and one window. Initially, Alex said she was able to come and visit her with no problem but now, things have changed. Williams also shared she’s been spending her birthday by herself for the last three years due to the “lockdown” on the visitation from her family.

This sentiment was also echoed by “The Breakfast Club” cohost Lauren Larosa who shared that she tried to go and visit Williams the day before the interview. Though her name was in the system and Larosa walked in with Williams on the phone who gave her explicit permission to come up and visit her, Larosa was denied visitation from the people at the facility.

As far as the documentary, Williams said that while she watched it initially with Morrissey when it first came out, she doesn’t feel comfortable watching it again. She also alleged that she’s been suffering emotional abuse and that she doesn’t have her phone, an iPad, or a laptop or access to scroll online to see things.

“My life is f*cked up,” Williams tearfully explained before later adding that she only has “$15" to her name and that the rest of money is “locked up in prison.”

In one bright spot, Alex shared that they are taking steps to rectify the ongoing situation and explained how the public can get involved in their efforts. One way is by amplifying the interviews on social media by using the hashtag #FreeWendy. The other is by signing and promoting the Change.org petition they’ve started. Alex also expressed that they’re dedicated to doing whatever they can to bring back dignity to Williams’ legacy.
