Officers performing a well-being check on a Chicago man who hadn't shown up to work in two days were stunned to find the bodies of five adults and one child.
During the check, at a Gage Park house around 1 p.m. Thursday, police told NBC Chicago that they "discovered the bodies of four men, one woman and one child around the age of 10 or 12 of an unknown sex who lived in the home."
Authorities noted that there were signs of trauma to the bodies but did not elaborate on a suspected cause of death. Police added that it is probable that all of the people found in the home were related.
