Yeah ... she cute.

Issa Rae stole our hearts once again Monday with her Insecure-inspired CoverGirl ad for its new Melting Pout Metallics line. We love Issa’s signature, self-monologuing humor and this gorgeously shot spot, and will definitely be test-driving her bronzed-lip look. (Issa’s rocking 24 Karat available here.) But alas, these shades are limited edition! We’re afraid to fall in love with them, because we want to shine year-round!

With that in mind, we’ve rounded up a few of our favorite metallic makeup offerings (from some of our favorite black brands) to take you through the holiday season—and beyond!

AJ Crimson is a cult favorite whose matte lipsticks are long-lasting and legendarily luxurious. His latest? A line of mint-infused metallic glosses in a range of shades that are to die for. They’re available for preorder now. Our personal faves? Miss Honey and Coinz.

Beauty Bakerie is coveted for its indelible matte lip colors—seriously, you need the company’s patented Lip Whip Remover to get it off, y’all. And its line of Metallic Liquid Lipsticks is no different; they are built for lasting beauty! If you’re looking to shimmer from day to night, this is for you. But our personal faves are the Sprinkles glitters and sealant, which are tailor-made for creating dazzling eye effects.

Coloured Raine cosmetics are known and highly favored for their deep pigments and lasting finishes. Their lipsticks are customer faves, but their metallic eye shadows? Glory. Like draping shimmering velvet across your lids. The color array is extensive, but a few standouts are Blue Magic, Downtown, Glamour and Forbidden. And at $6.99 each, you don’t have to choose; save your splurge for one of their customizable palettes!

Danessa Myricks Beauty is one of the most slept-on makeup lines around (seriously, get into it), and her metal game is absolutely magical. Check out her microfine metallic powders and glitters and her ColorFix cream colors, which come in a range of saturated pigments. Want more subtlety? Try her Illuminating Veil and Enlight powders.

Fenty Beauty, Killawatt in Trophy Wife. I mean, obvi. This universally flattering multipurpose highlighter flew off the shelves this fall, along with most of RiRi’s foundation line. But too many of us are saving it for beauty tutorials and special occasions, when it also makes an excellent eye shadow and lip powder (Metal Moon too, y’all)! Hesitant to experiment? Just ask yourself: What would Rihanna do?

Pat McGrath has been at the top of her game for decades, elevating makeup to an entirely new level of artistry. In addition to designing and consulting on cosmetics lines like Armani Beauty and CoverGirl, her eponymous line is the stuff that makeup junkies dream of, and never lasts long (though she recently blessed us with a permanent line at Sephora). Her Mothership palettes are out of this world, but currently on deck? Her Metalmorphosis kits, which include both cream and pigment finishes and will make you feel like precious metal.

Prefer to focus on your #LipGame? McGrath’s LiquiLust lip kits give your mouth a 3-D shimmering effect that looks like ... sex (really, really good sex). This lovin’ doesn’t come cheap, but ’tis the season ... treat yo’ self!
