The 14th Annual Governors Awards is a big event on the awards season circuit. It’s a chance for Black Hollywood stars to cement themselves in the Oscar conversation as they mingle with Academy members and dignitaries. With our queen, Angela Bassett, being recognized with an honorary Oscar, Tuesday’s gala also provided an opportunity for Black stars to celebrate someone they all admire and respect.
