Two Georgia teens were found dead late Monday in what authorities believe to be a murder-suicide, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
A relative of 15-year-old Christopher Andrews found the bodies of Christopher and his girlfriend, 16-year-old Samyah Copeland, inside a home in Riverdale. Both teens attended Riverdale High School.
“It appears that the male subject shot and killed the female before shooting himself,” Clayton County, Ga., Police Sgt. Ashanti Marbury said.
Clayton Police Chief Michael Register said that the gun that was used belongs to Christopher's father.
According to the report, the two teens had been in an on-again, off-again relationship for about two years. However, little was known about the couple and what led to the tragedy.
"I don't know how it got to that point," Samyah's father, Jermaine Carroll, told CBS46. "But it did happen. And I just, I'm kind of lost for words at the moment. I met him only one time. "
"The little young fellow that took her life, took my daughter's life and his own life, that was her best friend," Samyah's mom, Tuwanna Copeland, said. "He couldn't live without her; he didn't want nobody else to live with her if he couldn't have her to himself."
