At least six people were transported to the hospital, according to the Herald, but others arrived at the hospital on their own. A 17-year-old girl, one of the victims, was in critical condition.
It is still unclear why the shooting occurred and what were the exact details, Miami Police Department spokeswoman Frederica Burden told the Chicago Tribune.
The Herald reported that two men started firing assault weapons at the housing complex, with the authorities retrieving approximately 50 bullet casings around the grounds and walls of the building.
