Police have arrested two individuals in connection with the death of a 4-year-old Florida girl, who shot and killed herself while playing with a gun, the Sun Sentinel reports.

According to the report, little Amirra Jacques died in her home from a gunshot wound around 8:30 p.m. Sunday. Her uncle, 25-year-old Nathaniel Lowe, reported a home invasion, telling officers that someone had come into the home through an open door and fired a single shot, killing the child. Amirra's mom, Nashaiva Lowe, and a 16-year-old boy were also in the home at the time.

However, upon further investigation, officers determined that Amirra had found on a bed an unsecured gun, which went off while she was playing with it. Police say that the teenage boy hid the weapon after the shooting but later helped officers find it a couple of blocks from the home.
