The fuss-fight between the president of the United States and his father, Steve Bannon, continues with the former White House chief strategist reportedly stating that he was fine with being fired because he was “sick of being a wet nurse to a 71-year-old man.”
Ouch.
Also, gross.
Also, also, lol.
Bannon was reportedly on his Omarosa-ish when he was fired, according to Bloomberg correspondent Joshua Green—author of Devil’s Bargain, about Bannon, Trump and the race for the White House, Newsweek reports.
“The day that Bannon was pushed out, he was very angry about it. Refused to take Trump’s phone calls,” Green said in a Sunday interview with CNN’s State of the Union, noting that Bannon added, “I’m sick of being a wet nurse to a 71-year-old man.”
“He [Bannon] had as many doubts and frustrations, I think, about Trump’s fitness to be president, as a lot of other advisers around Trump did,” he added, Newsweek reports.
After explosive accounts from Michael Wolff’s tell-all book Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House, claiming all types of Bannon fuckery, the man once called “Sloppy Steve” by the president tried to make things right. He claimed that he still supported the president but the damage was done. He lost his position at the right-wing propaganda rag Breitbart and continues to look and dress as if he’s perpetually on a four-day drug-fueled bender.
Trump, of course, continued to bash his father on Twitter, claiming in January, “Michael Wolff is a total loser who made up stories in order to sell this really boring and untruthful book.”
And then he added: “He used Sloppy Steve Bannon, who cried when he got fired and begged for his job. Now Sloppy Steve has been dumped like a dog by almost everyone. Too bad!”
Trump also noted that Bannon didn’t just lose his job; he also lost his mind.
“Now that he is on his own, Steve is learning that winning isn’t as easy as I make it look,” he added at the time.
Ouch.
Also, lol.
