Updated Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2017, 10:55 p.m. EDT: The little girl who was seen being dragged out of a Burlington Coat Factory store in Michigan was actually with her father, and was acting out because she didn’t get her way inside the store, authorities say.
WDIV Click on Detroit reports that the girl was upset her father wouldn’t buy her a hat she wanted at the store.
I’m glad she is safe, but I am giving a strong side eye to all the “witnesses” who saw her yelling and did not at least approach the pair to make sure everything was OK.

A little girl screaming “Stranger danger” was seen being dragged out of a store in Southfield, Mich., on Tuesday morning, and area police are looking to confirm her identity and make sure she is OK.
According to WDIV Click on Detroit, police have not received any reports of a missing child, but in these types of cases, it is important to err on the side of caution.
The man was heard telling the girl, “I’ll tell you how I know your father after you get in the car.”
The girl, who is black and appears to be between the ages of 4 and 6, was seen hitting the man and struggling with him as he attempted to take her out of the store. She had braided hair and was seen wearing a purple knit hat with a Disney princess on it, a bright pink hooded sweatshirt and light-colored leggings.
The man is described as being a black man, standing around 6 feet tall, with a medium build. He has a light complexion and was wearing a black oversized jacket, a light-colored hooded sweatshirt and baggy black pants.
The two were last seen in the parking lot of the Burlington Coat Factory at 29720 Southfield Road in Southfield, Mich., entering a silver, four-door sedan with either North Carolina or South Carolina plates.
Again, the police have not received any reports of a missing child as of yet, so they just want to know that the girl is safe and not in harm’s way.
