Last week, Donald Trump gave himself a 10 out of 10 when asked about his handling of relief efforts in Puerto Rico after the devastation left behind by Hurricane Maria. On Friday, the former governor of Puerto Rico hit him with a big #WellActually on Twitter.
During an Oval Office meeting Thursday with current Puerto Rico Gov. Ricardo Rosselló, Trump was asked how he would score his response to the devastation on the island, and he replied, “I would give myself a 10,” the New York Daily News reports.
“I think we’ve done a really great job, and we’ve had tremendous cooperation from the governor, and we are getting there and people are really seeing the effort that’s been put into Puerto Rico,” Trump said.
No word yet on whether or not the president was being ironic when he said that. As of the day he uttered that self-inflated rating, 80 percent of the island is still without electricity and large portions of the island are without access to clean water. It has been nearly a month since the hurricane hit the island.
To illustrate what a big idiot the dotard in chief is, former Puerto Rico Gov. Alejandro García Padilla tweeted a picture Friday showing surgeons performing surgery by the light of cellphones.
“This is what POTUS calls a 10! Surgery performed with cellphones as flashlights in Puerto Rico today,” Padilla said in the caption.
It is not clear when or where the photograph was taken, but it’s telling that Trump has not yet taken aim at Padilla or called him out for “Fake NEWS! (Sad!)” or “fabrication” yet.
Guess his Twitter fingers are too busy attacking grieving widows and congresswomen who call him out on his bullshit.
