Tomi Lahren is a woman on a mission, and she’s taking Glenn Beck with her. Lahren has filed a lawsuit against her boss at TheBlaze and is citing wrongful termination after she was fired, not for being a racist douchebag, but for her pro-choice views.
Apparently, Lahren’s contract was set to expire in September, but she claims the site violated the contract by firing her. According to the lawsuit, filed in Dallas County Friday, TheBlaze, which Beck founded, wanted to keep paying Lahren “presumably hoping they could find an exit strategy to sanitize their unlawful conduct.”
During Lahren’s appearance on The View last month, she startled her conservative flunkies when she admitted she was pro-choice. “I can’t sit here and be a hypocrite and say I’m for limited government but I think the government should decide what women do with their bodies,” Lahren said.
According to the Dallas News, Lahren’s pro-choice stance wasn’t new to anyone at TheBlaze, and she even received congratulatory emails after her appearance. But the shit started to hit the fan when other conservatives came after Lahren, and Beck started to distance himself.
Lahren was “understandably disappointed, saddened and in shock for being suspended for freely expressing her opinions, which certainly reconcile with what is the law of the land in the United States, i.e., a woman’s constitutional right to choose, and in no way inconsistent with any of [Lahren’s] obligations under the employment contract,” the suit reads.
After being fired by the human resources director, Lahren was told not to post on social media, even though her Twitter account is her own property. Lahren’s lawsuit is requesting a temporary restraining order that will block TheBlaze’s request for her silence, and she also wants to be able to find another job.
Hey, Fox News, help a white sista out.
