Well, it’s official, Spirit Airlines has filed for bankruptcy, and who could’ve expected this one?!.... asked nobody. Known for their bright yellow and black logo, cheap flights but expensive luggage policy, and live entertainment— in the form of physical altercations— Spirit Airlines has secured their spot in history as the most notorious airline of all time.

Spirit Airlines reportedly lost $2.2 billion in the span of two years, according to The New York Times. And with quarterly losses, a failed merger attempt with JetBlue and looming debt maturities, it’s not looking to good for America’s least favorite airline.

Earlier this year, passengers spoke out after they say the Spirit plane they were on from Jamaica to Florida turned around shortly after takeoff. One passenger said he knew something was wrong, but quickly, his fears were confirmed after the pilot told everyone to put on their life vests and “prepare for a water landing.”
