1. Mistaken Identity, Season 1, Episode 6
After being arrested while driving his dad’s friend’s car, Carlton gets schooled by Will on being black while driving a fancy car in a wealthy neighborhood.
2. Def Poets Society, Season 1, Episode 7
Throw a dashiki and an Afro wig on Geoffrey and he’s the next Hotep poet: Raphael de la Ghetto.
3. Knowledge Is Power, Season 1, Episode 16
If Hilary didn’t already feel foolish for dropping out of college, Will and Carlton definitely took her to the edge at the dinner table in this episode.
4. 72 Hours, Season 1, Episode 23
Carlton gets a bit too comfortable in Compton, Calif., and Will has to beg him to come home before heading out to MacArthur Park late at night.
5. Just Infatuation, Season 1, Episode 24
Imagine your favorite singer serenading you on your birthday. Wouldn’t you pass out like Ashley?
6. Did the Earth Move for You? Season 2, Episode 1
You know the theme song by heart, and true fans probably still can recite Will’s basement ode to Tisha Campbell.
7. The Big Four Oh, Season 2, Episode 7
Aunt Viv shines at this audition and proves that age really ain’t nothin’ but a number. Slay, Auntie.
8. Winner Takes Off, Season 3, Episode 14
Geoffrey loses his mind when he thinks he won the lottery after Will and Carlton prank him.
9. Blood Is Thicker Than Mud, Season 4, Episode 8
Carlton’s called a sellout by a pledge master for Phi Beta Gamma. Instead of having Will stick up for him, Carlton sets the record straight about his blackness.
10. ’Twas the Night Before Christening, Season 4, Episode 13
After lying to the family about getting Boyz II Men to sing at Little Nicky’s christening, Will was shocked to see them walking in, singing “Silent Night.” Philly in the (church) house.
11. Papa’s Got a Brand New Excuse, Season 4, Episode 24
Hold back the tears watching this one as Will’s dad, Lou, abandons him once again.
12. Bullets Over Bel-Air, Season 5, Episode 15
After Will gets shot during an altercation at an ATM machine, he convinces Carlton not to carry a gun for protection.
