I think one of the reasons I keep getting thrown for a loop with this administration is that I believed there was some ethical guideline of accountability that President Asshat would abide by. Like at some point, something remotely presidential would kick in and maybe he would stop trolling America on Twitter and stop being an all-around petulant bully. But that was my mistake, not his.
President Asshat can’t stop being who he’s always been, so of course he supports adviser Kellyanne Conway pumping his daughter’s shitty line of cruisewear. On Thursday, Conway was on some stupid Fox show when she decided to send a shoutout to Ivanka’s clothing line and encouraged viewers to run out and buy it.
“Go buy Ivanka’s stuff is what I would tell you,” Conway said. “It’s a wonderful line. I own some of it. I fully—I’m going to just, I’m going to give a free commercial here: Go buy it today, everybody. You can find it online.”
People magazine says it was told by several attorneys that “Conway appeared to have broken a rule of the Office of Government Ethics that forbids government employees from using their public office for private gain, or for the endorsement of any product, service or enterprise.”
Donald Trump’s press secretary, Sean “Spicy Facts” Spicer, told the press that Conway had been counseled about her obvious ridiculousness, but we never know whom to believe in this administration. It looks as if that may have been a lie, since Conway took to Twitter to claim that President Asshat supported her.
People also reports that a Trump official told CNN that Asshat didn’t like Spicy Facts’ use of the term “counseled.”
Asshat will continue to cross and ignore all types of boundaries. In fact, the only boundary this president has ever cared about is the dumb-ass wall he wants to build along Mexico’s border.
