Tristan Rettke, a freshman student at East Tennessee State University, apparently thought it would be funny to dress up in a gorilla mask and taunt a group of Black Lives Matter protesters. But it wasn't funny when Rettke was charged with one count of civil rights intimidation.

According to WCYB, Rettke was also armed with a Confederate flag burlap sack. According to a Johnson City, Tenn., Police Department report, Rettke told officers that he also had a rope and banana "to provoke the protesters."

In response to Rettke's actions, the university said it was outraged. Hopefully, university officials are outraged enough to expel him.
