Let me think about the last time I've visited sites such as Breitbart, Stormfront, Fox News, Donald Trump's campaign site, or just insert any random anti-black website that's out there.
This is me thinking … give me a second.
Ummm … outside of the Fox Sports site, which is affiliated with Fox News, never.
Want to know why? Because there's jacks—t over at such sites with which I need to concern myself. But the reverse doesn't seem to be the case when it comes to the comment section on black websites.
Not a day goes by where there isn't some nonblack (#AllTrollsMatter, so I won't just point out the white people) troll up in the comment section being butthurt over what we're writing about. Now, how does one find a site focused on issues that affect black people, if he or she's not black? Do you sit at home Googling, "What websites do black people read, so I can go and harass some today?"
And that's not saying that there aren't allies in the comment section who offer valuable input and aren't there to antagonize and be all Racist McRacist Face. But those people are few and far between. It's the others I find amusing.
There've been studies that show trolls, especially racist trolls, aren't the sharpest tools in the shed.
Case in point. The comment section.
No matter how many times some of y'all's comments fail to show up, you still come back to comment. Do you not realize you've been marked as "spam"? Do you think your comment doesn't show up because something is broken?
I imagine this is how trolls are when they're sitting at home or at their job trying to comment:
How does it feel to put all your might into typing something, and then *poof* it doesn't even show up? Personally, I find it hilarious.
It's also funny that half the time, these same racist trolls are typing their vitriol from their job. And chances are, they work every day with people they hate to be around. How's that life going for you? How does it feel not to be able to express how you truly feel because you're a punk and afraid of the repercussions? So you have no other choice but to come on a black news site to vent your frustrations?
Let's not forget those people who may not seem racist, but always want to come around and antagonize and play dumb. Making statements like, "Why can't you just get over things like racism and slavery?"
Or … (hold one second while I go and get an actual comment)
"… Because the ugly truth behind backLivesMatter is that black people killing other black people does nothing to advance its political power in the same way that one white cop killing a black criminal will…"
First of all, what's "backLivesMatter"?
It seems like people out there always want to concern themselves with Black Lives Matter and always want to accuse BLM of being anti-police in the comment section, but then never want to point out police brutality.
And they always want to point out "black-on-black" crime because it's the lowest-hanging fruit they can grasp. But they never point out that black people who kill other black people, more than likely, end up in jail. Logic doesn't work for everyone.
I get it.
You're backed up with racism. Unfortunately, there's no Metamucil to cure your problems.
But I dare you to go up to a black person at work and spout to his or her face some of the ridiculousness that you type in the comment section. I double dog dare you.
Yeah, we all know that's not going to happen.
And blah blah blah, miss me with the "freedom of speech" bulls—t. We got freedom, too. We got the freedom to ban you from commenting. How you like dem apples?
In conclusion, furthermore and at the end of the day, thanks for the comic relief. And for showing us how some people in the world really think.
Oh … but before I forget …
