The brother of rapper Nicki Minaj may be spending a long time in the clink for child rape.

According to Bossip, prosecutors reveal that Jelani Maraj’s DNA matches semen found on his 12-year-old accuser’s clothes—a more than billion-to-one match—and have offered him a deal of 15 years to life.

The 12-year-old girl was reportedly raped repeatedly between April and November 2015. Police arrested Miraj after his last assault on the tween, and a grand jury indicted him on charges of felony predatory sexual assault against a child, felony sexual conduct against a child under age 13, sexual conduct against a child and endangering the welfare of a child.

Bossip reports that when Maraj was first indicted, the district attorney offered him a deal of seven years in exchange for a guilty plea, but the newly married 37-year old rejected the offer.

Records also indicate that he tried to throw the victim under the bus by alleging that she had sex with another older man.

His lawyers had this to say in documents obtained by Bossip: “Our firm has a good faith basis to believe that the complainant in this case has had intimate physical contact with a man who is not the defendant in this case and who is older than 17 years of age and who may have caused there to be physical evidence of repeated vaginal and anal penetration of the complainant.”

Nicki Minaj, who reportedly employs her brother in some capacity, has not commented publicly on the case, but their mother reportedly put up Maraj’s $100,000 bail.

A trial in the case is slated to begin in November, though reports indicate that both sides are trying to reach a deal before then.
